KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man died Saturday evening after being thrown from the car he was in during a car crash.
It happened around 7:45 p.m. near the Strawberry Plains exit.
Officers say the driver of a white Honda somehow hit the concrete pillar in the median. That's when a man inside the car was ejected. Police did not say if that man was the driver or a passenger.
That man died at the scene. Police have not released his name.
What led up to the crash is still under investigation.
