CLARKSVILLE (AP) - A foundation set up to help Fort Campbell soldiers is trying to rally public support for a gardening project that provides therapy to soldiers and their families.
The Leaf-Chronicle reports that the Screaming Eagle Foundation is asking people to vote for its War Garden Project in an effort to win a $25,000 Home Depot gift card.
Voting in Home Depot's Aprons in Action Facebook contest goes through the end of February. The organization that gets the most votes wins the funding and will be entered into a contest for even more funding.
Screaming Eagle Foundation executive secretary Wayne St. Louis said the funding would help the organization build more garden around the sprawling post on the Kentucky-Tennessee line.
People can vote for the project by going to www.facebook.com/homedepotfoundation.
