Knoxville woman arrested for stealing toilet parts

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville woman was arrested Monday on charges she stole toilet parts from local businesses to sell for scrap metal.

Brook Lynn Black, 30, was taken into custody during a traffic stop, along with another man.

Police pulled their car over and interviewed the pair about thefts of toiletry parts from area fast food restaurants.

Black allegedly targeted businesses in West Knox County, West Knoxville, the Merchants Road area and a business of Broadway.

Knoxville police charged her with three counts of felony theft.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office has also charged her with felony theft.

According to police, Black stole parts from toilets and urinals and was trying to scrap the brass out of the parts.
