KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knoxville police are searching for the man behind a violent armed robbery Tuesday night at Indu Sai Store, a convenience store on Whittle Springs Road.

Lyons says just three weeks ago she was attacked by another armed robber. She was working the same shift at the same store, but the robber was a different person.

Overall, Lyons says, she is having a really hard time dealing with the trauma.

Less than 24 hours after Tuesday's attack, one of the victims in the attack was back on the job. Linda Lyons says she is traumatized and keeps reliving the incident in her head.

"He jumped over the counter, pointed the gun at me, and told me that if I moved anywhere, that he was going to shoot me," Lyons said.

Surveillance video shows the man dressed in black, pointing a gun at Lyons while grabbing money out of the cash register.

"I've been shaking. It's like a replay in my head," Lyons said. "If I hear his voice again I'll know it. It's something I'll never forget."

After taking money from both registers, while constantly threatening the clerks, she says the attack finally ended.

"As he put the money in his pocket, he said, 'I just want a little pocket change, but if you all move, I'll shoot,'" Lyons said.

While the armed robber got away on foot, police believe they have good evidence from the scene.

"At this point, we don't think he's responsible for any other robberies we know of," said Knoxville Police spokesperson Darrell DeBusk.

Lyons hopes he won't strike again.

"Because I don't want anyone to go through what me and that girl went through," she said.

Police say the armed robber was a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black, shoes, and a blue cloth over the lower portion of his face. He was about 6'0" and 250 lbs.

If you have any information on the robbery call the Knoxville Police Department at (865) 215-7212.
