OLIVER SPRINGS (WATE) - A community is praying for a special needs baby battling big health problems.

Ava Rose Brown was born with several complications, including a hole in her heart called Tetralogy of Fallot.

She also has facial deformities and development problems, which means she may face a lifetime of surgeries.

Her parents say it was a miracle Ava Rose was born.

"This is a tough kid. I'm not just saying it because it's my kid, but she's a tough kid," said Eddie Brown, Ava Rose's father.

In order to help the Brown family with their medical expenses, a gospel benefit concert is being held in baby Ava's honor on Saturday, March 2.

The fundraiser will be at Beech Park Baptist Church, 1085 E. Tri-County Blvd. in Oliver Springs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Personal checks may also be made out to "Trinity Baptist Church / Support Baby Ava Rose" and can be dropped off at any Regions Bank.

The family says they hope their daughter's story has inspired people not those in the Oliver Springs community, but all over East Tennessee.

They have been chronicling Ava Rose's journey on Facebook through the group "<3 Prayers for Ava Rose <3."
