ATHENS (WATE) - An Athens woman was arrested Monday after allegedly intentionally hit her aunt and uncle with the vehicle she was driving.

It happened at about 2 p.m. on Pike Street in the Forest Hills Apartment complex in Athens.

Kia Rashae Key, 21, was involved in an argument with Joseph Key, her uncle, and Angie Johnson, her aunt.

The disagreement escalated, at which point Kia Key reportedly backed up her 2003 Nissan Altima and got a running start to hit the pair.

Joseph Key and Angie Johnson were taken to Athens Regional Hospital for treatment.

Kia left the scene and was arrested at another location in Athens.

She was taken to the McMinn County Jail and charged with aggravated assault, vandalism, not giving information and failure to render aid.
