Woman robbed after trying to help people with apparent broken down truck


COLDIRON, Ky. (WATE) - A woman was robbed after she tried to help people who appeared to have a broken down pick-up truck, according to Kentucky State Police.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Coldiron.

Preliminary investigation indicates the victim stopped to assist an apparent broken down pick-up truck.

Two male subjects wearing dark clothing advised the victim they needed the vehicle to be jumped.

When the victim emerged from the vehicle, one of the male subjects pushed her back into the car, reached into the vehicle and grabbed cash.

The victim described the suspects' vehicle as a green, Chevrolet S-10 pick-up truck.

No other information was provided by the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
