KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The FBI is asking for the public's help to identify two men who may have information about a child victim of sexual exploitation.
Sexually explicit images of the child were first recorded by the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in 2003 and are still being circulated in multiple child pornography
forums online.
Clues gathered from the images, including a yellow T-shirt containing the
outline of a basketball, together with the written text "New Market
Basketball."
FBI officials believe the two unidentified men may have a connection to a community with New Market in the name, including the community in Jefferson County in East Tennessee, as well as areas in Iowa, Indiana, Maryland, and several other states.
Yellow siding and an above-ground swimming pool are also visible in some of the images, which officials also hope could to identify the abused child.
The first individual, John Doe 23, is described as a white male,
likely between the ages of 25 and 35, with dark hair and glasses.
The second individual, John Doe 24, is described as a white male, likely between the ages of 35 and 45, with dark hair.
The FBI says that no charges have been filed in this case
and the pictured individuals are presumed innocent unless and until
proven guilty in a court of law.
Anyone with information should contact their local FBI office, submit a tip online, or call the FBI's toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
