EVARTS, Ky. (WATE) - The death of a former Evarts mayor is now being investigated as a murder.
Kentucky state police say the body of Ronnie S. King, 59, was found in his Harlan County home after it burned Monday.
An investigation revealed the former mayor died of a single gunshot wound.
King served the city in the late 1980s and early 1990s as city councilman and mayor.
No arrests have been made in the case.
