WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WATE) - Two people were arrested after Kentucky deputies stopped to help their stranded car.
Deputies noticed a vehicle in the median of I-75 on Thursday night and approached to provide help.
While driving up to the car, driver Jennifer Cordell, 26, of Pine Knot, appeared to be under the influence.
A police dog was called in and deputies said the dog alerted, signaling possible illegal substances inside the car.
Brian Ball, 34, of Stearns, was reportedly a passenger in the vehicle who had left on foot to obtain gasoline.
When deputies spoke with Ball, they found hydrocodone pills on his person.
Cordell was arrested for DUI.
Ball was arrested for public intoxication, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance not in its proper container.
