KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Three upcoming interstate projects could slow traffic for motorists.
For a few days next week, back-ups are expected on the Western Avenue exit of I-640W, where crews will be grinding the concrete on the ramp.
TDOT is warning of alternating lane closures on the ramp.
The work is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.
Then Sunday night through Tuesday evening, lanes will close on I-40 east and west near Exit 347 in Roane County.
Crews will be preparing to install traffic shifts in that area for an ongoing bridge repair project.
Those hours each night will be 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
And on Monday in Jefferson County, guardrail repairs will take place along I-81 north and south near Mile Markers 3 and 6 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Watch for possible lane closures, as workers and equipment will be present.
