SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - Authorities are searching for 2 people accused of check fraud at a grocery store.
According to the Sevierville Police Department, a woman allegedly cashed a fraudulent check for $475.32 at the Food City Store on Highway 66. The check was drafted on what appeared to be a Papa John's Pizza payroll check.
Investigators say the woman was accompanied by a male companion. Both suspects were retrieved from the store's security equipment.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of either or both suspects is requested to contact Det. Shanks at 865-453-5507.
