Girl Scout cookies arrive in East Tennessee


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - If you ordered girl scout cookies, those famous treats will be rolling into East Tennessee Monday.

About 1.3 million boxes of cookies will arrive at the Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians' warehouse between noon at 5 p.m.

Knoxville pick-ups will begin Monday and deliveries will continue Tuesday through Friday.

So far this cookie season, Girl Scouts have sold an average of 173 boxes per girl and hope to sell much more.

Booth sales begin March 1.
