Next cash mob location to be picked by residents

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knox County residents will get a say in the location of the county's next cash mob.

Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett started organizing the cash mobs last year to help South Knoxville businesses hurt by the Henley Bridge closure.

But this time around, the mayor's office won't be picking the location, residents will.

Business nominations are being accepted online until noon on Friday, March 1.

Later that same day, residents can vote online to pick the mob destination.

Voting ends at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 and the winning business will be announced on Friday, March 8.

To vote for a location or submit your business, visit the Knox County cash mob website.
