Knox County Schools superintendent to testify in Washington


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knox County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre is headed to the nation's capital.

McIntyre has been asked to testify before the Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education Subcommittee in the United States House of Representatives.

The meeting will take place Thursday, Feb. 28 beginning at 9 a.m. 

Dr. McIntyre will be addressing the Subcommittee regarding the Tennessee Educator Acceleration Model (TEAM), and the Knox County Schools' experience in implementing the new teacher evaluation system.
