Jellico man dies, two passengers injured in wreck


JELLICO (WATE) - The driver of a pickup truck was killed Wednesday night when his truck hit a tree in Campbell County. Two passengers were injured.

The wreck happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 25W at High Cliff Road, just outside Jellico.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol's report on the accident says Michael King, 36, of Jellico was headed east when his Chevy pickup truck went off the left side of the road and hit a tree. King was killed.

Two passengers, Katelyn King, 13, and April Anderson, 40, also of Jellico, were injured.

THP says no one was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
