KINGSTON (WATE) - A truck driver got the fright of his life Thursday when his vehicle careened off an overpass and over a median, landing on the road below.
Kingston police say the driver of a truck hauling beer swerved to miss another vehicle while driving on I-40.
The truck went into the median and went airborne between two bridges, landing on Highway 58 below.
The truck driver was taken to a local hospital, but no other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed for several hours while crews cleared the scene.
