NEWPORT (WATE) - A Jefferson County man faces child rape and other charges.
Timothy Jordan was arrested Wednesday on a warrant out of Cocke County.
The grand jury there indicted Jordan on child rape, three counts of aggravated sexual battery and false imprisonment.
Those charges stemming from a November incident allegedly involving a ten-year-old in Newport.
Police say Jordan had just moved to Jefferson County within the past month at the time of the incident.
