JELLICO (WATE) - Several parts of East Tennessee, including Campbell County, saw snow Friday morning.

On I-75, between Caryville and Jellico, drivers were hammered with snow.

Even though it did not stick to the roadway, the sides of the roads were covered. Most drivers we spoke with said they did not have any problems getting around.

"They are just wet," said driver Renee Williamson. Williamson said she didn't notice any slick spots, "No, not at all."

Even though snow was accumulating on parts of I-75, in Jellico there was no snow on the ground.

Williamson was traveling with her family back home to Michigan when they had made a pit stop in Jellico. This weather really didn't concern them.

"Not here, no," said Williamson. "In Michigan I am because there is a lot of snow. I'm fine."

Many people we with spoke say they hope this snow goes away soon.

"It's stupid, because it's cold," said traveler Stephanie Kulbrits. "I like warm weather."

Friday's weather closed schools in Fentress, Cumberland, and Scott counties.
