KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knox County's website lists a dozen road improvement projects for 2013.

Two of those, the Maloney Road bridge repair and the Outlet Drive expansion projects are, for the most part, completed.

So what other projects is the county working on?

First, in North Knox County, the intersection of Dante Road at Greer Road is scheduled for a makeover.

The county is still waiting on utility pole relocations to wrap up, among other items, before they can move forward.

Officials say work should kick off this May. The county still has June listed as the completion month.

Another project already underway is at the intersection of Dutchtown Road at Cedar Bluff Road.

This is Phase 2 of the two-phase project. All the main roadwork is completed. Crews are now working on curbs, gutters and driveways. The county hopes the project will wrap up next month.

Not far from there is a project a lot of people have been waiting for at the intersection of Bob Grey Road and Bob Kirby Road.

The area has seen a number of accidents over the years. Between 2009 and 2011, there were 18 accidents - eight with injuries at one interchange alone.

County officials say the project went out for bid just last week, so work should get underway soon. Originally, crews were hoping to begin in May or June of this year.

The county is expecting the project to be complete sometime in September or October.
