KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Traffic was tied up in eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 in West Knox County Thursday morning when a tractor trailer truck caught fire.

The cab of a truck was fully engulfed in flames near mile marker 371 when Rural/Metro firefighters and Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers arrived shortly after 9 a.m.

Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson Jennifer Donnals said the truck rear-ended another truck before the cab caught fire.

No injuries were reported.
