POWELL (WATE) - A Knox County school bus carrying 35 students was hit by a car Friday afternoon.
No students were hurt when bus number 15 was involved in a wreck on Collier Road at Crown Ridge Lane.
Knox County Schools spokesperson Melissa Copeland said the driver of a car behind the bus had a medical emergency and the car rear-ended the bus.
According to Knox County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Martha Dooley, the bus driver assisted the woman driving the car before she was taken to an area hospital.
The students were being transported from Powell Middle and High schools.
