KCSO arrests 2 for January armed robberies

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two men were arrested Friday that are responsible for robbing two West Knox County gas stations at gunpoint back in January, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

Scott Jay Brinkmeier, 23,  and Colin William Weber, 19, were taken into custody without incident at their homes.

Officials took Brinkmeier into custody around 2:40 p.m. Weber was taken into custody just after 7:30 p.m.

They are charged with robbing the Weigel's at 12001 Kingston Pike on January 18 as well as the Rocky Top Market at 1116 Harvey Road on January 20. In both incidents, the suspects robbed the businesses at gunpoint and fled with cash.

Both men are charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and are being held in the Knox County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility.

Weber's total bond amount is $25,000, and Brinkmeier's total bond amount is $20,000.
