SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - A local high school basketball star is in more legal trouble.
Devin Schmidt, 18, was arrested Tuesday morning by Sevierville police on burglary charges.
The arrest comes after officers were called Sunday afternoon to Sevierville Middle School.
A teacher allegedly saw a male in the classroom. Police found several men outside the school.
Police said surveillance video allegedly shows Schmidt was the only one who went inside.
Last month, Schmidt turned himself in to police after being accused of beating his 15-year-old girlfriend.
Schmidt told officers a different story in the police report, claiming his girlfriend was attacking him.
The Mountain Press reported that Schmidt was removed from the team after that incident.
