Man arrested for 2012 shooting


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man wanted in a 2012 shooting death was taken into custody Wednesday after returning to the area from out of state.

Kenneth Wayne Washington, 33, was wanted in the November death of Rodney Miller.

Police received a tip that he would be arriving on the bus at a Greyhound station and when he arrived around 5 p.m., he was arrested without incident.

Washington was interviewed by police about the 2012 shooting and was charged with one count of first degree murder.

He is being held at the Knox County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
