MORRISTOWN (WATE) - Three people were arrested within two days at a Morristown department store for stealing.

Police say store managers had discovered Jeffrey Freeman, 21, and Lisa Cothran, 48, had been working together at the J.C. Penney in Morristown to scam the company.

Police say they were returning merchandise which had never been purchased and exchanging it for cash.

Freeman is accused of making $5,550 in illegal returns. Cothran took $3,053.

Both employees were arrested on Tuesday.

Then on Wednesday, police received another call from the store.

This time, Carrie Deloach, 20, was taken into custody.

Police say she stole about $900 of merchandise from the store.

All three suspects are facing theft charges.
