SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - The stalled Sevier County retail development "Dumplin Creek" could be getting a new owner.
Dumplin Creek is a stretch of land along Interstate 40 near exit 407.
Neyland Land Associates is in the process of purchasing the 200 acres of land.
Their plan is to build a road to connect I-40 exit 407, State Route 66 and Bryan Rd.
The developers say if everything goes smoothly and both the city and state approve, site preparation and road work could begin this fall.
