KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A slight risk of severe thunderstorms is possible for East Tennessee Monday.
Warm air followed by a cold front is pushing across the state.
The WATE viewing area will likely see thunderstorms move in with high temperatures in the upper 60s.
Some of the storms will be strong with high wind being the main threat. Winds could be in excess of 60 mph in some storms. Lightning and hail are also possible.
One round of storms is expected to arrive by late morning. with a secondary line possible in the evening.
Cooler weather will follow, with even a chance of mixed rain and snow in some areas of the state.
Rain and storms slowly end late Monday night, with lows near 40.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be breezy and much cooler, with highs near 50.
