KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A popular Middle Eastern restaurant in West Knoxville said goodbye Tuesday, after decades of service.
Ali Baba's Time Out Deli officially closed its doors Tuesday after 40 years in business.
It's been in the same spot near Kingston Pike and Gallaher View Road since it opened.
The owners, two brothers, say it's time they retire.
"Thank the people of United States, Knoxville, East Tennessee, whatever, I get them from everywhere and thanks for supporting Ali Baba for 40 years. We're appreciative for that. Thank you very much," said owner Nabih Aqqad.
Ali Baba's owners say they still own the building, so they'll be leasing it out to a new business.
