OLIVER SPRINGS (WATE) - An Oliver Springs man is facing aggravated kidnapping charges after holding members of his family at gunpoint during a domestic dispute.
Police say it happened at a home on Hen Valley Road Monday night.
That's where David Woods got into a fight with his mother and father.
Police say he pushed his mother to the ground, breaking her hip.
The suspect's sister walked in on the scene and tried to call 911, but Woods threw her down.
He then grabbed a gun and used it to keep the family from calling police, but Woods' father escaped to a neighbor's house for help.
Woods ran from the scene but was arrested the next day when he returned to the house.
Police say he is a convicted felon.
