ALCOA (WATE) - A Louisville woman was cited by airport police after taking a loaded gun through an airport checkpoint.
Tori Brannen presented her luggage for inspection at McGhee Tyson Airport around 8:30 Friday morning.
As it went through the x-ray machine, security workers found a Rossi .38 special revolver with five rounds inside a purse that was inside her bag.
Brannen told police the gun was hers and that she simply forgot it was there.
She received a citation and must appear in a Blount County court April 4.
