Authorities arrest 14 people in Union Co. roundup

MAYNARDVILLE (WATE) - Authorities arrested 14 people in Union County for various charges on Friday.

The Union County Sheriff's Office, Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation and the United States Marshals Service conducted the roundup.

The roundup began in the morning and ended by 9 p.m. on Friday.

Jerry Richard Masingo of Sharps Chapel was arrested for second-degree murder and has a $100,000 bond. Tracey Lee Williams was charged with accessory after the fact.

Seven people were charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal facility.  TBI charged these defendants: Robin D. Wilkerson, Allen P. Wilkerson, Dakota R. Kidd, Sheridan D. Brogden, Johnny R. Johnson, Albert Moore Allen and Gregory E. Thatcher.  All of the defendants live in the Maynardville or Corryton area.

TBI arrested and charged Mark S. Smith of Maynardville for aggravated assault and domestic assault.

Todd Lee Hutchinson was charged for arson, burglary, theft of property over $1,000 and vandalism under $500 by the UCSO. 

The UCSO also charged William T. Hickman of Speedwell for three counts of aggravated rape and domestic assault. Dale Frank Gilette was charged with manufacturing marijuana and simple possession. Bradley Eugene Warwick was arrested for a violation of probation.

All arrests were done without incident.
