KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville Ice Bears will start their push for another SPHL President's Cup trophy with a home playoff game on Friday night at the Civic Coliseum.

The Bears will host the Columbus Cottonmouths on Friday, March 29 at 7:30 PM.

The best-of-three series will move to Columbus for game two on Saturday night.

If necessary, game three will be played Easter Sunday night at 7:30 in Knoxville.

The Ice Bears and Cottonmouths have played nine times this season, with Knoxville leading the series 5-4.

"We're playing our best hockey of the year right now," said Ice Bears head coach Mike Craigen on Tuesday.

"We're the hottest team in the league. We've won thirteen of our last fifteen games. We've bought into the system that's required for this group to win games.

If you want to run and gun with us we can do that. If you want to play a tight physical game, we can do that. We're a very flexible hockey team."

The Ice Bears have won three SPHL season titles in 2006, 2008 and 2009.
