KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two country music performers were announced Monday as headline acts appearing in the upcoming SouthFest festival in South Knoxville.

The festival is scheduled for April 12 and 13 at a variety of locations south of the Tennessee River. The musical headliner performances will be held outside of Emery's 5 & 10, 4014 Chapman Highway.

Homer Hart will perform at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, April 12. His performance is sponsored by radio station Q 93.1 FM.

Phoenix Stone will perform at 3:15 on Saturday, April 13. His performance is sponsored by 107.7 FM WIVK.

SouthFest was organized by Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett's office to help local businesses affected by the closing of Henley Bridge. The bridge is closed for an extended period of time to be rebuilt, which has caused reduced traffic to many business areas of South Knoxville.
