KNOXVILLE (WATE) - An East Knoxville man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly held up a pizza delivery driver with a rifle.

Knoxville police say the armed robbery took place just before 11 p.m. in the 2200 block of Barker Avenue when a Domino's pizza delivery person was making a delivery.

Victim Michael Cooper told police he was approached by a man holding a rifle. The suspect pointed the rifle at him and demanded cash and the food.

Officers knocked on doors of nearby homes in search of the suspect.

After being allowed into the home of Anthony Hamilton, officers noticed two Dominos pizza boxes in the stove and a bottle of Sprite on top. They later found a black sweatshirt covering the barrel of a rifle on Hamilton's bed.

Cooper was able to positively identify the suspect.

Hamilton was booked on a $25,000 bond and faces an armed robbery charge.
