Knox County man captured after being on the run 3 weeks

MASCOT (WATE) - A Knox County man who eluded deputies when they tried to arrest him three weeks ago was captured Tuesday afternoon.

Knox County sheriff's deputies say Jeffrey Thornhill, 36, was taken into custody without incident on Number 2 Drive in Mascot.

Thornhill was wanted on 22 warrants that include aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, and felony evasion.

Deputies attempted to arrest Thornhill on March 20 in the Strawberry Plains area, but he ran from officers and remained out of sight until Tuesday.

Thornhill's charges include aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, failure to appear and felony evasion.

He is now being held on a more than $187,000 in bonds.
