KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man holding a tire iron and acting as if he had a gun in his pocket robbed a fast food restaurant in South Knoxville Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened around 6:30 a.m. at Krystal, 4100 Chapman Highway.

Knoxville police say the restaurant manager told them the robber took a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot toward Sam A. Duff Park, which is directly behind the business. The suspect may have gotten into a vehicle from there.

The suspect is described as white male with brown hair. He is about 5'7" and weighs around 175 lbs.

At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white stripe down the leg, an orange bandana and garden gloves.
