KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The man whose body was found in a tent in a Knoxville homeless camp did not die of natural causes, police say.

His identity has not been released while police work to notify his family. He is described only as a male in his late twenties.

On Wednesday, police found the man's body after responding to a disturbance call in the woods behind a business on Richards Street.

After searching the area further, they found three people sleeping in a tent and a man's body covered in a pile of blankets.

On Thursday, KPD investigators said that the man's death was the result of foul play, but did not specify further about a cause of death.

No one has been charged in his death.
