Kamiko Williams chosen 15th in WNBA Draft

BRISTOL, Conn. (AP/WATE) - Lady Vol senior Kamiko Williams was taken with the 15th pick by the New York Liberty Monday night in the WNBA draft.

Williams becomes the 35th Lady Vol to continue her career in the WNBA. The versatile guard from Clarksville, Tennessee averaged 7.4 points and 4.2 rebounds a game her senior season but had the most impact after becoming a starter later in the season.

The Phoenix Mercury took Brittney Griner with the top pick in the draft.
The two-time AP Player of the Year finished as the second all-time scorer in women's NCAA history, with 3,283 points. She is the top shot-blocker ever, shattering both the men's and women's college marks with 748. She also had a record 18 dunks - including 11 this season.
