KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A convicted pill mill operator was sentenced Thursday to more than 20 years in federal prison.

Tamral "Tammy" Guzman operated a Maryville pain clinic that was raided in 2010.

Guzman failed to show up at her trial in October. While she was on the run she was found guilty on all 56 counts against her, including conspiracy to dispense and distribute oxycodone and other controlled prescription medications.

The jury also found her guilty of money laundering and structuring financial transactions.

U.S. marshals later caught up with Guzman in Florida after being free for nearly a month. Her boyfriend, Brian Hatcher, was also arrested and charged with helping her hide.

Hatcher and Guzman were living under assumed names when U.S. Marshals took them into custody.

Hatcher pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact and retaliating against a witness.
