Escaped Kentucky convict evades officials in Grainger County

BEAN STATION (WATE) - U.S. Marshals are searching for an escaped convict from Kentucky in Grainger County.

Authorities are searching for Brandon Saylor. He is described as a white or white/Hispanic male, 5'11" tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

Police say he is wanted for aggravated armed robbery in Washington County, Tenn. He escaped from the Kentucky Dept. of Corrections.

After spotting Saylor in the Trent Road area of Bean Station, marshals and other law enforcement agents caught up with him at a home in the city.

Saylor fled on foot and was not located again.

In addition to the U.S. Marshals, the Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force, Grainger County Sheriff's Department and the Bean Station Police Department are all looking for Saylor.

The Knox County Air Watch is also assisting with aerial surveillance.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a 1,000 reward for leading to Saylor's arrest. Authorities urge anyone who has information about Saylor to call 911.
