ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - A man is free on a $200,000 bond after a police search turns up several substances possessed illegally.

The Hawkins County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on 43-year-old Leon Trent's Rogersville home on Thursday.

Upon searching, officers found quantities of Morphine and Suboxone, for which he did not have a prescription. They also found a substantial amount of cash, which is believed to be proceeds from selling drugs.

Officers also found and seized numerous firearms, which had been strategically placed throughout the home.

The home was rigged with an extensive amount of surveillance equipment as well, including video monitoring systems and motion sensors. Police seized all of the equipment along with 8 vehicles and a Harley Davidson motorcycle believed to have been bought with money from illegal drug sales.

Authorities had been conducting an investigation into Mr. Trent possessing and selling large quantities of prescription controlled substances for several months.

Trent was initially taken to Hawkins County Jail and processed with criminal charges.

He is awaiting a May 22 court date. The case remains under investigation and further prosecutions are possible.
