Let's Move events intended to get kids outdoors and eating healthy

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - More than 15 agencies and organizations in Knoxville, Farragut and Knox County are joining in an effort to get youth up and away from video games, and moving outside.

The second annual Let's Move Knoxville event will be held this weekend with several activities in three locations.

The events are designed around First Lady Michelle Obama's national campaign to get kids to be more active and eat healthy.

The Knoxville Let's Move! Event is held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Victor Ashe Park, 4901 Bradshaw Rd., and Holston Chilhowee Ballpark, 5900 Asheville Hwy.

The Farragut Let's Move! Event is at Campbell Station Park, 405 N Campbell Station Rd., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The events are free, but registration is required.
