Hackers threaten attack on small banks

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Hackers are threatening to attack small banks and credit unions tomorrow.

USA Today reports that the hacking group Anonymous for Distributed Denial of Service, or DDoS is behind the effort.

The group is upset over what it refers to as America's "war crimes."

Experts suggest that consumers be alert for any suspicious activity in their accounts.

DDoS has posted a list of the targeted establishments, which include Regions Bank and BB&T.
