ELIZABETHTON (WATE) – Amanda Berry will be reunited with some of her East Tennessee family this weekend.

Berry, Gina DeJesus, Michelle Knight, and Berry's 6-year-old daughter Jocelyn were rescued from a Cleveland, Ohio home Monday after a neighbor heard Berry's cries for help.

Berry's father lives in Elizabethton. While he's unable to move much due to back surgery, her grandfather Troy Berry drove up with some other family.

It's an exciting time not just for the Berry family, but the whole town of Elizabethton.

"It's been a real talker here. Everyone saying they're glad the girls are back," said Diane Hill who works at The Burger Hut, one of the popular eateries in town.

There's a distinct possibility Amanda and her sister Beth will return to their paternal home. We now know Ariel Castro, Berry's captor is the father of her 6-year-old daughter Jocelyn.

Many in town believe there's no better place for a single mom who's been through what she has.

"Her family is here. And there's a lot of nice people," said Angela Everett, who also lives in town.

Amanda's grandfather is expected to spend the weekend in Cleveland. There's a chance he could stay longer.
