UT's director of judicial affairs fired after allegations of inappropriate relations with students

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - University of Tennessee officials confirmed Monday that an employee has been fired in connection with an investigation that the school says may involve student athletes.

Jenny Wright was UT's director of student judicial affairs.

In an email sent to Wright's attorney on May 9, the school claims she refused to cooperate with an investigation into allegations that she had inappropriate relationships with student athletes.

In a letter dated that same day, Wright notified the school she was resigning effective at noon.

On Monday, UT notified Wright she was being fired for failure to comply with the directives of authorized university officials to cooperate with a university investigation.

In a conversation with 6 Sports on Monday, Wright's attorney was asked about the allegations.

Robert Kurtz said his client, "denies any inappropriate relationships at all."

As for challenging UT's termination, he said Wright is not someone who wants her name or reputation dragged through the mud.

"It's time to move on," he said.
