SEYMOUR (WATE) - Fire officials released new details Tuesday in the investigation into a large fire at a Seymour flea market that devastated two businesses.

The fire broke out inside the Chapman Highway Market on May 3.

When firefighters got to the scene, thick, black smoke could be seen for miles.

The Sevier County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday the fire was sparked by an electrical issue and believe old wiring in the building is to blame.

Investigators say they are still looking into the exact cause, but have officially ruled out the possibility of arson.
