WATE's The Bachelorette Blogger
If you saw her on last season's The Bachelor with Sean Lowe, then chances are high that you also became an instant member of her fan club. You were probably shocked when he sent her home packing after an awkward hometown visit and strange chit-chat with her gangsta brother.
Des won America over with her girl-next-door ways, her chestnut eyes, and her fabulous bangs, which I am SO sad to see didn't make a return as of yet. She seemed to have the most fun with Sean.
And let's be honest, girlfriend lived in a tent growing up, so you know she's got some tales to tell.
Regardless of her charm or their chemistry, Desiree's brother pulled a major stumbling block on them when he started calling Sean a playboy and doubting his intentions. Rather than attempt to prove him wrong, Sean let Desiree go at that week's rose ceremony. I'm sure tensions were mounted in the Hartsock home after that.
Not wanting to disappoint viewers and fans alike, at the After the Final Rose Ceremony taping, Chris Harrison made the much-anticipated announcement that Desiree was going to be the new Bachelorette.
Looking as stunning as ever, she graced the stage and seemed as giddy as a school girl speaking of her upcoming experience. My DVR has been set for weeks waiting for this season to finally air!
No more waiting though, because it's that time! The Bachelorette will air on May 27 on ABC.
Desiree will start off with 25 men who she has said give quite entertaining introductions. Immediately she will eliminate six of them, dwindling their numbers down to 19.
Each week anywhere from one and three men will be eliminated from the show until she gets down to "the one."
Sad to say, tabloids (you know, those trusty things that cost $5 for you to read a bunch of speculation and gossip?) are reporting that Des is acting quite solemn in her interviews about her experience. While she insists it was a wonderful time and she learned a ton about herself, she's been very mum on the subject of whether or not she found true love at the end.
Her answers have actually been so vague, they have led to presumptuous articles claiming she wound up solo at the end of it all.
Whether that is true or not is neither here nor there, because honestly the dates, the drama, and the dudes are all I care about. They are my guilty pleasure that keeps my Monday nights booked solid for the next three months.
Don't be jealous, I know it speaks measures in regards to my social life.
But just an FYI, I previewed the men's photos of which we will be seeing on our screen very soon, and I'm not sure if it's a faulty photographer or just faulty faces, but those pickin's were SLIM.
My choice to spend some "quality" time with is narrowed down to these three:
Brad, an accountant and a club DJ who also claims to be obsessed with peanut butter. Someone needs to clue him in that this fact needs to be placed on the "things you never say out loud" list.
Michael, who is hot AND a federal prosecutor, so you know he steams up the courtroom. There is nothing sexier than a man in a business suit reeking confidence and arrogance with a side of swagger. Yes, I did read Fifty Shades of Grey. Twice. He seems like a nice visual of Christian Grey if I do say so.
And lastly, Zak, who has no employment listed about himself, nor did his parents bother to include the necessary ‘c' in his name, so chances are he's one sandwich short of a picnic.
Keep up with me weekly as I review, recap, and rant my opinions on each episode that airs. I give my guaranteed to fail predictions on who I think will win and who I think will be headed home!
Until next time...
