KNOXVILLE (WATE) - No charges will be filed because of a senior prank at a Knox County High School.

Students and parents made a gruesome discovery when they arrived for school last Wednesday.

Several students hung raccoons and possums from trees and placed a dead turtle in a mailbox.

One week later, the Knox County Sheriff's Office and the district attorney's office said they would not be filing any charges in the case.

The sheriff's office said investigators looked into several leads before the decision was made not to prosecute.
