KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A large group of motorcyclists supporting veterans are taking a cross-country journey called Run for the Wall.

The participants started in Los Angeles, Calif. Their final destination is the Vietnam Wall in Washington D.C.

On Wednesday, hundreds of riders refueled at a truck stop on Watt Road in West Knoxville and continued on their way, passing through Knoxville on I-40.

Run for the Wall is an effort to recognize the sacrifices and contributions made by veterans.
